BitCrusher

Clean crush or dirty crush — from subtle grit to total destruction.

BitCrusher

Description

BitCrusher combines the two classic lo-fi effects — bit depth reduction (1 to 16 bits) and sample rate reduction (500 Hz to 48 kHz) — with an anti-aliased engine. Quantization runs inside a 4x oversampling stage, and the sample & hold uses polyBLEP band-limited steps, so you keep the stepped, crunchy character without the harsh fold-back aliasing of a naive crusher. When you do want that raw, aliased sound, flip on Dirty mode for a zero-latency classic crush. Ships with factory presets from vintage 12-bit sampler warmth to total destruction, plus MIDI learn and host latency compensation.
